The expected release is October 6... but, will that stand?
Will you upgrade to it once it's released?

I'd guess end of October at the earliest... pending delays with Microsoft's minions.
I'd consider upgrading if Level-D's 767 becomes FSX friendly.

I might upgrade after all you mooks tell me about the bugs and how to set the sliders to work with an aged system.

God forgive me! I preordered. Another computer upgrade on the way, for sure, but even then, I doubt that even with the best horsepower I can buy, I will probably have the stutters.
What on earth would compel me to go so out of character? I usually let the new versions "steep" for a few months before I take the plunge.
Is there a support group for this? I need one! I'm ill, I tells ya, ILL!
(To tell the truth, if it wasn't for MSFS, I would still be happily working away on a 386).

I will purchase FSX - but I will not upgrade. Confused?
Reality breathing says that I cannot afford the machine to run this version - and by the time I am able to, FSXI will be out. Also - I have over $1000 U.S. in upgrades and add-ons for FS2004 that make it...well...pretty kick-ass in my opinion.
I am very impressed with FSX in terms of graphics - but I can make do for now.

That should rock nicely, Darryl...I await in envy for your screenshots...
...and unfortunately - the secret credit card has been retired for now. More pressing matters such as patio furniture and house improvements have taken over...

"Conroe" my friend. Google it or CORE 2 from Intel. The reviews are in.

Does anyone know if SB that works with fsx? I'm planning on getting a new PC this weekend and want to fly with beta2 if SB will let me.
I don't see anything on the SB website.. just wondering.

I know that Joel DeYoung has a good working relationship with the FS team and that FS has been quoted as saying they are taking organizations like VATSIM 'into account' - so rest assured, if SB3 is not compatible in its present form, it will be by the time FSX is released or shortly afterward.
As I'd imagine Joel is an active development partner with Microsoft, I wouldn't be surprised if he's working on the FSX-compatible version as we speak.
