So, if the beta works on your system will the final version likely perform as well?

If the beta won't even boot on your system - does that mean the final won't either????
???

Stupid, dumb beta...

Yes, good question Ben...the demo with everything maxed ran surprisingly adequate (although, I won't be maxing everything out, obviously).
Hope the full version runs as well as the demo. It looks amazing.

Finally got it running - had to back of the settings quite a bit, but it still looked good.

Since I won't have the equipment to run this puppy for the graphics, all I can still say is 'Wow!'

Talk about putting every single FS add-on company out of business in one fell swoop! (Level D and PMDG are safe though)
The moving cars and boats were kindof neat too - but 4 out of 5 stars for the new camera angles.

...and the Aircraft folder has been replaced!!!
I realize that cars and boats are mostly AI - but it certainly opens the door to possibilities.

Quite a leap - a truly new version of FS.

Who's gonna put it up on a download site somewhere?

:D

Is it me, or are the new "effects" gone to far the other way? The colors are too bright, they don't meld together as in real life. Dare I say a slight cartoonish? Perhaps there is a setting or settings that can be adjusted.....time to do some looking. Perhaps a visibility setting or something. I like the head latency from within the vc, and the sounds are tweaked, sounding better. My computer runs it fairly well, this is not the reason of my concerns. Perhaps "old dog and new tricks" applies to me in this situation!!! LOL

Actually Harry, I find the water looks a bit 'off', for example, if the graphics aren't turned up. Crank it up to see it's full potential......of course your frame rates will drop significantly :(

I tried cranking the settings all the way up, and I like it! Of course, my computer didn't like that so much; basically saying: "who, me!?" If one were to overlook the less than dismal frame rate (notice no "s"), the rest of the parade was fabulous.

I was hoping for a bit too much, and I knew it before I tried, when I tried some stalls, which are better in the Baron than they were; but, you still cannot replicate a spin. Maybe FSXI? :D

Agreed - I think the game requires some optomization if it's going to look right on lower-spec machines (my god, I can't believe I'm referring to my own machine as lower-spec)...

I think that the setting for this demo is particularly heavy scenery-wise as well - I don't think you'd have as much of a hit in more typical areas..
