Hey All,
I'm going to start streaming on youtube with all of my flights. Feel free to subscribe so you know when I'm on. I'm new to it, so I'm not sure how it will go.
Join the chat and let me know!

I'm slowly getting better at streaming. Got rid of the horrible buzz sound from shadowplay. Just need to tweak the audio levels and get a fancy logo on the stream.
.. but the more I use X-Plane the better it gets. Take a look at my last couple of flights and just check out the scenery and the weather.. beautiful. (unlike my flying.. but I'm getting there, X-Plane is a different beast for sure)

Hey Craig!

Good to see you back online and in the skies again! I also recently bought X-Plane 11. Do you have it hooked up yet with VATSIM online? There is a plugin that allows you to use our CVAcars with XPlane now and it works pretty good! Takes a little bit of getting used to at first but seems to work ok.

I also agree coming from MSFS it's a learning curve but I really love what they have done with this version and out of the box it is pretty great!

Cheers!

I Gotta give that a try.
Could be quite funny, me not a professional pilot for a reason.

Yep, I've done VATSIM and XACARS with XP11, it works fine, although the XACARS is a little buggy.

Yea, I tried XACARS as well and found the same problem. WHat I am talking about those is using our CVAcars (the one we use with MSFS) for XPlane! THere is a plugin called XPUIPC which essentially is an XPlane version of FSUIPC. One you install the XPUIPC plugin you can natively use the CVAcars with XPlane just like with MSFS!

Check it out!

Just a note to let everyone know that I'm still streaming! A couple of times a week. Although, watch the more recent ones if you are bored, since I am starting to get the hang of it (flying and streaming) again. Here is a decent one:

Awesome Craig! I'm going to have to take some time to learn a little more from your videos on XPlane as you are doing these! :D

Did you get a chance yet to load XPUIPC and try it with our CVAcars?

Cheers!

Hey!
Yes, I did use XACARS once or twice. It is a little buggy and I wish they would update it. I'm not sure if I successfully got a flight to post back, I'll have to check.

As far as learning from my videos.. so far, it's mostly learning what not to do, as most of my videos show me screwing up lots.. but I'm getting there. Every video gets progressively better both in streaming aspects and flying different aircraft better.

Hey Craig!

The XAcars does not work well at all I found. Once I loaded the XPUIPC plugin and then ran our CVAcars it was WAY better! I did notice a problem with the brakes though indicating every time I braked it thought I was engaging / disengaging the parking brakes. Still trying to figure that one out...but at least it records much better than XAcars.

Give that a try when you get a chance!

As far as learning - I'm very green to X-Plane so even learning from your mistakes is a huge help :D

Cheers!

Good call I will try that for sure! Since I'm using XPUIPC for Squawkbox, I might as well let CVAcars use it as well... (and it is an external app, which means less chance of it crashing xplane.
