Nice videos Robert.
My favourite cars at the moment are the Dallara Indycar and the Skippy with the Mustang a close 3rd.

I loved all of them. I started with paddles, but the Mustang is awesome with the H-shifter. I'm sucky slow, but it's still awesome.

The green paintjobs date back to early days of iRacing. They released pre-made schemes that you could chose colours, and by the end we were able to import custom paints; mine was Canadian Tire. That's the nice thing with iRacing, they continously update and refine the product.

At first I didn't like the Radical; way too much power on a tiny frame. But once you put laps in it, the darn thing is a hoot. And Barber, stupendous short track.

The Daytona Prototype felt weird at first, kinda bulky. But same thing, put laps on it and you get to appreciate the car.

The Formula Mazda was a nice intro into fast open wheels. Road America may seem boring to some, but it's a challenge.

The Trucks, probably some of my closest racing, sometimes 3 wide in turns. It's a different strategy, patience for 60% of the race and then start moving up. The hard part is avoiding the massacres.

Even the Soltice, the entry level car, is fun to race.

The Silver Crown, I can't believe people race those beasts full throttle in real life. The damned things are a menace, but such a riot. :D

The Skip Barber is such a fun little car. Started 10th, finished 3rd. WOOT! Especially at a track like Infineon.

This is from rFactor, but the Offroad Truck was my favorite mod from that game.

I do, but I'm grounded until I can get my PC back up.

I'm renewed for over a year.

Still racing. Using a 3 monitor setup wit a g27 wheel and pedals.
Wasn't going to renew this year but they offered renewals for 50% off and I couldn't say no.

What are you using for a wheel Rob?
I was looking at the Fanatec setup but wasn't sure if it was significantly better than the logitech g27.

G27

Sometimes I use the CH throttle quadrant for extra buttons. :)

Watched you race for a couple of laps last night then had to go race in a league race.
You seem to be getting a good handle on the Mazda.

Picked up a used DFGT today for $60, my First Wheel Ever, I'm liking it so far, I haven't tested/tried road racing yet just Street Stock @ Charlotte (Rookie as I only have my D for Oval and don't have the money to buy a NASCAR vehicle for Class D Races), done some testing and a practice and it seamed alright to me with just me on the track, got into a race, start of turn 3 I had my first wreck in a race with the wheel, I lightly grazed the left rear of another car, he got away clean, I ended up in a fast slide straight into the inside wall and destroyed my front end including my engine, finished 12th of 16 5 laps down with a total of 5x worth of incidents. 2nd race with the wheel I made a mistake on lap 1 while on the backstretch leading to turn 1, I was high, I looked Left and it looked clear while the spotter was telling me someone was there, I went with my gut and moved down hoping to get in a draft line with the leaders but nope, spotter was right and I turned into someone causing us to spin, I spun inside and he went outside, after he came to a rest someone came along and hit him causing him to spin again and there was a bit of a Chain Reaction after that in Turn 3 with the cars that got past our cars, I finished 12th with a total of 4x both races were in split 5 of 7.

Iracing is the best there is. You just have to relax, learn from your mistakes and not get caught up in the heat of the moment.

Those with anger management issues should abstain. LOL

The higher you go up the classes, the better it gets. Rookie races can be murder.

Rookie Rule #1: give the position, finishing with as few incidents as possible.
