With the crazy weather around here lately, I have flown from Sydney (YQY) to CYYT as well as YQY to YHZ to check out AtiveSky Next. I set up with ActiveSky 2012 graphics first. I am very happy with ActiveSky N for the following reasons:

1. No wind extreme wind, pressure or cloud/precip shifts like all other programs I have used.

2. Looked out my window while I was at YQY (only a few kms from me) and the sim weather and the weather outside my window matched very closely.

3. Wind gusts (slightly crosswind) and sim operation matched what I expected.

4. What I found most amazing was the turbulence during climb out through the clouds, the best I have ever experience in FSX, actually at times was a chore to hand fly, downdrafts and updrafts bounced the aircraft and yaw effects were well done.

On long distance flights no S turns in PMDG 737 and 777 during cruise like I have always experienced.

So you know, have used any number of programs and this is the first one I am completely happy with. And different from what others have said, no crashes and my FSX is very stable now.

Cheers Rod

I am also very happy with it. Love how fast it loads.

I just saw a post on the Opus forum that says ASN is preventing any other weather program from working right. I have not checked this out but you may want to follow up on the forum if you want to use Opus. (or anything else).
