Sure is beautiful, but a wee bit scary. Lots of trust in the systems.

Wow nice video, boy these pilots sure came in hot, took the whole runway to land. I hope the PAX did not notice  Sure great job by the pilots, but I am sure this is routine for them.

I've got the Orbx scenery so I fly in there from time to time. Never saw it clouded up like that, but I know the wind can get bad. Guess they came in fast so they could get back out if they missed it.

Pretty nice weather there today. RW 5 approach over the water needs a sharp turn to final but is not too dificult in a small plane when you can see clearly.

I don't see where there is a ILS or slope into there. Makes the video even more scary.

This is a RNP approach. Path follows fixes and crossing points. Charts can be found at:

Just got this guy. Carenado B-1900D. Should be fun for the NZ Flights. OK for Queenstown but not sure about Milford Sound yet.

Barry can give us a report and feedback please on the Carenado B1900 please. I am reading on it thru various sim zone's. Looking at buying her in Fed. FTX Vector and Global and new PC ate my wallet and cut my CC up for this month lol.

If the 1900 is anything like the other Carenado products, it will be a "keeper". I have 3 of their aircraft and they are first rate. The flight dynamics are excellent. They are also very affordable, unlike some of the other products out there.

Cheers Bill

The new Carenado b-1900D. First Impressions.

I think it's one of their better ones. It is set up very much like their King Airs-90 and 200. Difference is that the auto-pilot buttons are in front of you and not just in the panel between the seats-they are there too tho. I like flying it better than the King Airs, it's more smooth, not touchy. Easily climbs to cruise at 1800-2000 fpm to cruise around 240 kias. You need to slow down before descending and this is not difficult. The flight model has received some good reviews. Approaching at around 100 and landing somewhere around 80-90, I have not stalled it yet (which I am very good at doing!). I think my first landing was less than 100 fpm.

Do not expect something like the PMDG J41 - it's not that detailed and much simpler to get in the air. I had the PMDG version of the B1900 before this. It looks super-inside and out.

It sure makes the scenery look fantastic
