Just to note I will be LOA June 2nd thru about July 1st. The USCG is sending me TDY to MUGM NAS Cuba. I am taking temporary command of the AVDET there till the new CO comes in. After that I am returning to my Command at JBSA AVDET for the USCG and my review boards are coming again err, I'm up for the Chicken or Captain rank if your not familiar with USCG/USN rank structures. That is one step away from a Rear Lower Admiral. I also will getting a fast internet connection on return allowing me to finally fly Vatsim with you for events.

No, I serve joint role between the RCAF and USCG. When the RCAF calls me at the USCG I head off to 440Sq. When the USCG calls I am headed to either Traverse City CGAS in MI or Corpus Christi Sector TX which my Det is at Joint Base San Antonio as we are Border Enforcement Mission and DHS. I also provide cross border AVDET training in MH65D, C27J, CASA235 aka HC144 to name a few. The RCAF trained me in the CC138 and thus I bought that knowledge with me to the USCG. We have two in my Det and there unofficially part of the USCG Fleet. Both are excellent Border Patrol mission oriented and Viking Canada has been most kind and generous with us and representing my Det at the US DOD for a contract for 8 Viking 400's. The cost saving those Canadian Built Twin Otter provides is excellent and the training provided and guidance from Viking is excellent and worth every dollar :D . At any one time we have about 200 RCAF/RCN/CCG members here in San Antonio under going some sort of training.
