This is cva1203 mikethompson new pilot and new to this community and I just want to give out a big thanks to everyone who has made this possible. I have only played fsx and for just a bit then I discovered this and was in awe. I could not believe that a flight sim world could exist this amazing and the time that people have put in and the fact that it is all free. WoW!! It is very appreciated for the guy who wishes they could fly this is the perfect solution just wish I knew about it sooner. I just started out used to work on uh 60l avionics so I know a little about radios and navigation which has helped a bit still have a lot to learn so hopefully will be on the vatsim network soon and flying as real as it can get from the comfort of my living room. hahah So if any one has any help or any suggestions to make my flying more realistic or better I can use all the help offered. again thanks for this oppertunity

Wecome to the VA.
A good program that lets you see what is happening on Vatsim is
VatSpy http://www1.metacraft.com/VATSpy/

The other one is ServInfo I think it's available at Avsim.com or Flightsim.com.
I think VatSpy has a better GUI. :P

When you want to learn, start practicing on Vatsim in Caribbean or Alaska where there is less traffic and the controllers will have more time to assist you or explain to you. CVA route database has many inter-Alaskan and inter-Caribbean routes for you to practice before you graduate to big time airports where controllers have no time or no patience to explain to you.

CYXU London is where VatCan controllers train. It's an excellent place for pilots to get comfy on Vatsim.
