Post subject:  Question About Real World Float Planes

Shalom and greetings all my pals,

As all of you know from Departures and Arrivals subforum making latest announcement about this weekend's event which requires use of float planes.

Although I am not sure if I am going to fly tomorrow night as it is my mother's one week birthday celebration and I have to take her out for dinners, I have question for all of you regarding REAL WORLD float plane flying.

For flights from Vancouver to Victoria to Seattle to Vancouver as described in the event post in the Departures and Arrivals subforum, what is realistic flying altitude for those flights IN REAL WORLD float planes?? Is it 3,000 ft or 5,000 ft or what?

Is there any speed limit for low altitude flying for float planes in real world?

Thanks for any help.

Aharon

Beavers and Otters are restricted to below Mach .82 below 3000 feet.

Same as any other VFR flight, or IFR if thats what your flying. but you won't go to 12000 feet if your going 15 miles.
VNe of the aircraft you are flying.......

I flew at 5000' for what it's worth. I just guessed at an altitude, and we didn't have ATC. Seemed normal enough.
