I use www.fsgenesis.com for more accurate terrain elevations.

If you like freeware sceneries, this is a good site which is updated regularly; http://www.freewarescenery.com/fsx/canada.htmlThe top section is airports and the bottom section is terrain mesh and accurate landclass addons. Another thing you may want to do is try adjusting the terrain mesh complexity and resolution in the FSX options. Ryan

Thanks all for suggestions. I will explore options. Rob, when I say freeware, I mean freeware add-ons:):):) cva1077 wrote: Another thing you may want to do is try adjusting the terrain mesh complexity and resolution in the FSX options. Will it help sharpening cities when flying at FL350??? Everything seems to be working but cities and towns are not sharp enough. I must have been using wrong settings. In my old dying laptop with 256 mb dedicated video ram 3 GB ram, and duo core, the cities and towns were extremely sharp when flying at FL350 YET in my new laptop with whopping 2 GB dedicated video ram, whopping 12 GB ram and quad core at 3.0 GHZ, the cities were half sharp and half fuzzy when flying at FL350. Really irritates me since in both laptops, I am using same FSX with same planes and same stuff. The only difference might be wrong settings. Aharon

I'm not 100% sure if it will increase the sharpness of the towns/cities, but it will increase the "sharpness" of the mountains, which was the original problem. Ryan

Aharon, don't compare only the cpus, compare also the graphics cards, bus speeds, ram, hard drives, etc.
Manufacturers have a way of cutting corners and marketting things as "better".

CVA0014 wrote: Aharon, don't compare only the cpus, compare also the graphics cards, bus speeds, ram, hard drives, etc. Hard drive is 7,200 rpm at one TB hard disk space. Graphic card is 2 GB dedicated video ram by Nvidia Geoforce 640 GT With Cuda. It is quad core i7 at 3.0 GHZ Look at my old laptop's all my screenshots of planes flying above cities or towns as seen on those fine examples below. You can see everything in the city is crisp sharp without fuzzy in the old laptop. When I fly over any city or any town in my new laptop, a city and a town will be half crisp sharp and half fuzzy. That annoys me because I am BASICALLY using same FSX, same add-ons, and same stuff in both old and new laptops especially the new laptop should show same or better results. This tells me I must be using wrong display settings. Here are examples of old laptop showing entire city of Yuma, AZ: Aharon[/b]
