Real WX dl problem in fsx

I'm having problems downloading the real world weather update.

Never had this issue before, its really slow and will hang at various percentages and then tell me theres something wrong with my internet connection, which of course there is not.

Wondering if theres some reason for this? Having same issue on vista and windows 7 computers, two different methods of internet connection too.

Sim is FSX, very strange, I can get it downloaded eventually at least.

I just tried a test to see if the download site was having problems:

FS-X
Win7 64bit
Download real weather from Jeppesen

It took 1-2 seconds, loaded up real quick just like always.

My guess, there's a node between you and jeppesen that is bottlenecked.

Weird, if I ping Jeppesen at 169.143.0.117, it times out.

If I ping CanadianVA at 74.220.219.77, it averages 75ms.

(IP addies from http://www.ip-adress.com)

Maybe FSX uses another IP addy.

Hey Rob,

Ping is a useful tool - most times...

A server / computer can still be online and accepting connections but is set to reject ping requests so you get a timed out message. It's usually a good test though.
