I know I have not been on here that much, since starting CP Air virtual airlines, but I wanted to pass on some news of the passing of one of our long time members, who, I believe, was also a member here awhile back. Here is what I stated in our forum:

Quote:
It is with great sadness, I have to report that we have lost one of our most loyal and long standing members. Pierre Cos last flew with us on May 1, 2011. He passed away on July 22, 2011.
Pierre was a very nice man and was very involved with flightsim. He worked for Canadian Pacific Airlines, then CP Air and finally Air Canada before moving from the real world of aviation to the simulated one.
He was a very active member here when we were very tiny and new. He will be missed. His son Steve, who was also a member from our beginnings, gave me the news.
I plan to do an annual "multi" flight every year on May 1, to remember Pierre for all his service and dedication to our VA. I will keep everyone posted.
So goodbye Pierre, I am sure you are up in heaven above, in that airline in the sky. Again, you will be missed.

Bruce Wood

Wow - this is a CVA family loss.

Condolences to Steve and family.

Indeed, condolences to the brothers Cos: Steve and Peter. I heard quite a bit about Pierre but never had the chance to meet him.

I also offer my sincere condolences to the Cos family. They were a very big part of CVA in the early years and have been very active within the flightsim community for many years. I remember the A320 cockpit they built many years ago. It was a work in progress at that time. While I have not seen Pierre around CVA for some time, I have had the pleasure of his company while flying with CPAir on several ocassions. I'll miss seeing his callsign on servinfo. Blue Skies, Pierre.

Cheers Bill

With a heavy heart, I too offer condolences to former CVA pilots Peter and Steve.

Thanks for keeping in touch with this news, Bruce.

With all due respect - perhaps it's time to lock this thread.
If it was me, although I would appreciate this thread - I wouldn't want it to go on indefinitely.

If my thoughts are off the mark, I apologize.
