Thought I would inform you all of my little FS adventure in the hopes that, along the way, we may have more than one aircraft to evacuate Canadians out of Cypres.
Beirut airport is closed due to Isreali bombings of the runways. Canadians are being evacuated by ships to Cypres, then flown out of Larnaca (LCLK) to either Montreal or Toronto.
I will be departing Vancouver with my 747-400 (maximum px load will be required) for Montreal.
CYVR - CYUL CYUL - EDDF EDDF - LCLK LCLK - CYYZ
The flights will take place over a 24 hr period beginning at 1:00pm PST.
Flight progress will follow on this thread....

Cool, Bob.
Was thinking of a flight along the same lines. You bringing back Harper's staff?

This is perfect! Ben, last nite I was going to e-mail you regarding developing a "CVA Rapid Response Team" so the timing is right-on. Several months ago I started painting a C17 in CVA colors with UN logos. After this mission can we get something formalized. Dale(CVA1050)

Sounds cool, but would have to be charters so we can log the hours.

Well, as a Senior Senator, just like Ben - I declare this flight an official charter. I'm sure YVR management can get it up on the charter page for us.
Due to a late BBQ and watering the garden, CVA222 to Frankfurt has been delayed until 10:00am EST, July 21. We'll try to make up for lost time with a quick turn around and off to Cypres.

Wish I could plotz a page together, but I am off today for holidays.
Perhaps this thread can serve the purpose for now?
Rapid Response is a great idea... when I get back I will try to get something done for the main page...

Excellent Bill! I've seen you on Serveinfo and our CVA front page the last little while doing some real long haul flights.
I'll have to figure out what time I can make LCLK and post back again. Awesome ACARS too :O
Ok Bill, I'll shoot for an ETA of 0030z - will need a little 4x help to do it though.

Standby Bob for a better ETA. The locals here are slow at getting supplies(beer run) I'll advise you but 0030 still is looking good unless she doesn't get back in time. You should see the wildlife here. Wow!

Bob B : I can't figure out how to e-mail you and I hate e-mails. Could you call me 604-985-9566 before 5pm or 604-929-9217 after 6. Dale(CVA1050) YVR HUB Captain

Landed at EDDF, 4:30pm EST. No photo this time as my wife had me in a rushed landing so we could go out.
Sorry Bill, looks like I'll be delayed till about 0230-0300z
